OREMC Welcomes New MSR in Nahunta

November 6th, 2026

Okefenoke REMC is pleased to welcome Jessica Lyons as a Member Services Representative working out of the Nahunta headquarters office. Lyons has over 15 years of customer service experience.

Raised in Folkston and a graduate of Charlton County High School, Lyons first job was working at the Okefenokee Restaurant. Once her children were in school, Lyons began working at FNB South where she moved through the ranks of teller, customers service representative and head teller. “I really enjoyed the interaction with people and serving others,” noted Lyons. “But as time went on, I just felt the need to challenge myself and knew to grow professionally I needed to find my next opportunity outside of banking.”

Having previous coworkers who are now OREMC Member Service Representatives, Lyons had heard what a great place OREMC was to work and set her sights on finding the right opportunity. It took some time, but Lyons is happy to be approaching her six-month mark at OREMC. She said, “It feels like I’ve been here more than six months, and everyone has been so friendly, nice and welcoming. I have learned there is much more that goes on behind the switch in delivering power to our members. I never used to look at power lines; now I’m glancing at them all the time. Working here gives you a whole new perspective.”

“Jessica has been a great addition to our Member Services team,” Member Services Supervisor Liza Lloyd stated. “She is positive, always smiling and happy, a quick leaner and will do what needs to be done to meet our members’ service needs and expectations.”

Lyons lives in Folkston where she and her fiancé, Justin, enjoy cookouts with friends, football, fishing and trips to the mountains. Her children Noah, Ashton and Taylor, are grown, working and live nearby.
