Nahunta Office Welcomes New CSR

December 15th, 2020

Kimberly Flowers of Hickox is Okefenoke REMC’s newest customer service representative working out of the Nahunta office. Having 10 plus years experience in customer service in other industries, Flowers sees her new position as a growth opportunity.

“I had always heard OREMC was a great place to work,” says Flowers, “and I engaged with Customer Service here four years ago when we were building our home, so I knew some aspects of the job from a member perspective. I have a lot to learn about operations and procedures, but everyone here is very supportive.”

While she learns the policies and practices of OREMC customer service on the job, the service side comes naturally to Flowers with her ready smile and willingness to listen. “I love customer service, helping people problem solve and making their day,” she says.

OREMC Customer Service Supervisor Nancy White notes, “Kimberly had applied before when we had an open position and showed continued interest and perseverance by applying again. I had interacted with her many times when she worked at Jerry J’s and at Southeastern Bank. She was always courteous, had a smile and ready to help. Combined with her years of experience and recommendations, she is a good fit for OREMC.”

Previous to OREMC, Flowers was a head teller/banking officer at Southeastern Bank and a shift manager at Jerry J’s. She earned her Associate of Science degree from South Georgia (Waycross) College.

When she is not working Flowers relishes her family time. She lives with her husband and two children ages 10 and five.
