Distributed Generation

Prior to committing to a distributed generation project, OREMC would like to encourage potential distributed generation members to read and understand all of OREMC’s policies and procedures for implementing customer owned distributed generation.  Included in these documents are Policy No. 421Net Metering of Customer Owned Renewable Distributed Generation Facilities, Policy No. 422Interconnection of Distributed Generation Resources to the Electrical Distribution System, the Net Metering Rate Rider, the Application For Interconnection of Distributed Generation Facilities, and the unexecuted Interconnection Agreement.  Members having a clear understanding of the policies and procedures may avoid untimely delays.  The documents mentioned can be downloaded by simply clicking the appropriate link below.

OREMC has also developed a step by step procedure for members interested in distributed generation.  This step by step procedure is designed to clarify the process a member must go through to become a distributed generation member.  By following the proper procedures, both the member and OREMC have a better opportunity for a timely implementation.  Failure to follow the step by step procedure could result in untimely delays for both the member and OREMC.
